Reporting a bug
A wrong number is the most serious kind of bug we can have, so please tell us if you see one. It helps enormously if you include:
- Which app, and the version (shown under About)
- Your device and OS version
- The exact figures you entered and the result you expected
- A screenshot, if you have one
Common questions
Does the app really work without internet?
Yes. Every calculation, GST number check and lookup runs on your device. The only part that needs a connection is the advertisement, and if it cannot load, the app simply carries on without it.
Why does a GST number show as valid when the business seems fake?
An offline check confirms the number is correctly formed: the state code, the PAN inside it, and the final check digit all agree. It cannot confirm the number was actually issued or is currently active. For that you need the official GST portal. We say so in the app rather than letting a green tick imply more than it means.
Why does the app show 40%, and where did 12% and 28% go?
The GST Council’s rationalisation, effective 22 September 2025, withdrew the 12% and 28% slabs and introduced 40% for demerit goods. The withdrawn rates are still available under Rates before 22 Sep 2025 so you can reconcile older invoices.
I bought ad removal and the ads came back
Use Restore purchases in the app’s settings. This happens most often after reinstalling or switching devices. If that does not fix it, email us with the store account you purchased on and we will sort it out.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store, since they processed the payment. Both have a self-service refund request flow. Write to us as well and we will support the request.
How do I delete my data?
Clear the app’s history from its settings, or uninstall the app. Since your data never leaves your device, that is the whole of it. There is no server-side copy. See the privacy policy for detail.
Can you file my GST return?
No. These are calculation and lookup tools, not a filing service, and we are not affiliated with the GST portal. For filing, use the official portal or a qualified practitioner.
