Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 July 2026
This policy covers the GSTIN Suite mobile apps published by Mad Over Technology and this website. It explains what stays on your device, what leaves it, and who receives it.
The short version. Everything you type into these apps (amounts, GST numbers, invoices, saved calculations) is stored on your device and is never sent to us. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and there is no account system.
The one exception is advertising. The free versions show a banner served by Google AdMob, and Google collects device and advertising identifiers in order to serve it. That is described in full below, because claiming “we collect nothing” would be misleading while an ad SDK is present.
1. Who we are
Mad Over Technology is the developer and, for the purposes of applicable data protection law, the data fiduciary/controller for these apps. You can reach us at hello@madovertech.io for any question about this policy or your data.
2. Data you enter into the apps
The apps are designed to work with no internet connection. Anything you enter is processed locally and written only to your device’s own storage:
- Amounts, tax rates and calculation history
- GST numbers you check
- Invoice details, customer names and item lines, where an app creates invoices
- App preferences such as language and default rate
None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party. We cannot see it, we cannot recover it, and we cannot produce it in response to a request, because it never reaches us.
3. Data collected by advertising
The free versions of the apps display a single banner advertisement supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure that ad, Google may collect:
- Your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID, or Apple’s IDFA where you have permitted it)
- IP address, and approximate location derived from it
- Device model, operating system version and language
- Ad interactions, such as whether an ad was viewed or tapped
This collection is performed by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google’s privacy policy. We receive only aggregate, non-identifying performance reports, for example how many ads were shown in total. We never receive the identifiers above.
You can limit this at the operating-system level: on Android via Settings → Privacy → Ads, and on iOS via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Purchasing the one-time ad removal stops the app requesting ads at all, after which no ad identifier is collected.
4. Purchases
The optional “remove ads” purchase is processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Your payment details go to them and never pass through our apps. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase for a given product completed; we do not receive your name, card details or billing address.
5. Permissions
The apps request no sensitive permissions. They do not access your contacts, location, photos, files, call logs or SMS. Where an app offers scanning a printed GST number, the camera is requested only at the moment you use that feature, images are processed on-device, and nothing is stored or uploaded.
6. Summary of data handling
| Data | Collected by | Purpose | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calculations, invoices, history | Nobody | App function | No |
| App preferences | Nobody | Remembering your settings | No |
| Advertising identifier, IP, device info | Google AdMob | Serving and measuring ads | Yes, to Google |
| Purchase confirmation | Google Play / Apple | Unlocking ad removal | Yes, to the store |
7. Children
These are business and tax tools. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Ad requests are not configured as child-directed.
8. Retention and deletion
Because your data stays on your device, you control its lifetime. Clearing the app’s history, using its reset option, or uninstalling the app removes it permanently. We hold no copy to delete. For data held by Google in connection with advertising, see Google’s policy linked above.
9. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and under the GDPR if you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights of access, correction, erasure and grievance redressal in respect of personal data held about you. As set out above we hold no personal data about you, so in practice there is nothing for us to disclose or erase. If you believe otherwise, write to hello@madovertech.io and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes. The current version always lives at this URL, which is the address filed with both app stores.
11. Contact
Questions, complaints or grievances: hello@madovertech.io.
